ZION TRAIN

Zion Train are Dub/Dance pioneers and have been undisputed leaders in the genre for the past 2 decades. The band were heavily involved in alternative and DIY underground culture during the 90s as well as being purveyors of the finest Roots Reggae music throughout this period. They are one of the finest live dub acts on the planet and promoted the practice of dynamic onstage dub mixing which they perform alongside acoustic instruments and the best vocalists. Zion Train have been one of the planet's most prolific groups, along with a mammoth recorded output and innumerable production credits, remixes and song writing collaborations they have produced magazines, CD-ROMs, Internet sites and many more. They released the world's first promotional dub music video for the "Get Ready" single and caused a furore with the publicity campaign for their "Homegrown Fantasy" album. 2007 saw the release of the band’s long awaited album "Live as One", their ninth. 2009 was rounded off with a further tour to promote the release of the "Live as One Remixed" album. Taking in 15 nations to promote the next installment, they received rave reviews throughout. The album was remixed with imagination, quality and depth by like-minded musicians, bringing amazing results.

DARKWOOD DUB

Certainly one of the best bands of former Yugoslavia – Darkwood Dub was formed in 1988. in Belgrade. During the first few years the band has experimented combining reggae & dub with sonic guitars and associative & emotional lyrics. Up to the release of their first album "Paramparcad", Darkwood Dub has become the most popular underground act in Belgrade. The band continued producing top quality albums. "Elektropionir" (B92, 1999) pushed the band into the mainstream with four successful singles, while "Život počinje u tridesetoj" (B92, 1999) became the best-selling album of the year also proclaimed as the "best album of the year" by music critics. Their latest, seventh album "Jedinstvo" (B92, 2008) once again proved the indisputable quality of Darkwood Dub. Hear them live on Biodiesel Stage at the Supernatural Festival 2010.

SVI NA POD!

Svi Na Pod! is an unique project in Serbia. They got the attention of the general public as the winners of Jelen Top 10 and MTV Dance Floor charts, as well as by being selected as the best band on the local scene by "Studio B". The band is promoting fresh indie-pop sound with the elements of trip-hop & dancehall. Like most contemporary bands, Svi Na Pod! are using all the advantages of electronic music through their full-blooded instrumental approach. The band members are: Bojana Vunturišević, Bojan Petronijević, Goran Savić, Ivan Mihajlović, Ivan Mirković, Jamal Al Kiswani & Petar Rudić. This young and perspective band is currently in the studio "Destilerija", recording their first album due for release in late 2010.

HYPNOTIZED

A new band on the local scene - Hypnotized, in standard rock formation: vocals, guitar, bass, drums. In beginning of the 2010. the guys produced and published their first studio album titled "Big Natural". Admirers of rock music will have to come to Supernatural Festival and hear fresh songs from their new album "Big Natural", which is available in IPS, Mamut store & B92 shop since February, 2010. The band is currently recording their new video for the song "Someone Else", produced by Stevan Filipović. The video will be available during the June this year. Band members are: Ilija Šetka - vocals, Djordje Alempić - guitar, Marko Glavan - bass guitar & Andreja Jovanović - drums. The all-round attraction and guest vocals on the album is Hystery, who will perform with the band at the Supernatural Festival 2010.

VIVA VOX

VIVA VOX is a youth choir whose members are mostly students of Belgrade University, former students of gymnasium in Zemun. They started the choir in 2002. when they transformed from school choir to the official choir of the arts & culture society "Branko Radičević". Over the years they supported numerous school ceremonies, tours, regular appearances on the Belgrade Choir Review, silver plaque at the Palilula Olympics... What makes VIVA VOX authentic is interesting and rather unusual repertoire. You will be able to hear them perform not only classical and religious pieces, but modern music as well: Beatles, Toto, Abba, Vampiri, Era... Jasmina Lovren is the current conductor and music teacher as well.

ADAM RAFFERTY

Born and raised in Harlem, Adam started playing blues guitar at age 6, played in a hard rock band at 12, was ripped off by a club owner on his first gig at 15, by 19 he was playing guitar professionally. Adam has played in the New York City subway on up to New York’s and Europes most upscale music rooms and concert halls. He’s led his own band through Europe, produced his own albums, and never doubted for one minute his sole purpose in life to play the guitar. Adam Rafferty (a.k.a. “Raf”) has played as a first-call guitarist with the greatest musicians on the planet such as Dr. Lonnie Smith, The Dizzy Gillespie Big Band, Bennie Wallace, Bob Cranshaw (from the original Saturday Night Live band). He’s taught countless workshops, written 2 books and has a new instructional DVD available where he teaches fingerstyle versions of Stevie Wonder’s most popular songs. Among Adam’s musical innovations is the ability to play 2 simultanoeous melodies on the guitar and do hip hop flavored “human beatbox” with his mouth at the same time.

DJ AKI

DJ AKi is the main DJ of Dublab Productions(DLP). DLP is one of the main driving forces of the japanese drum'n'bass scene. DLP is also gaining credibility for his procuctions for Womb in Tokyo and thereby creating several of the various hybrid cultures that are emerging in Tokyos underground dance scene. DJ AKi started to play drum'n'bass when he began his work at the "Breakbeat Science" in 1996. He became the resident DJ for Science Lab at the New York's legendary venue TWILO in 1998. DJ AKi returned to Japan in 2001. and started the monthly party 06S with himself as the resident DJ at WOMB, and has gained popularity through his original hard and cyber style. Mixing the uplifting Hard'n'Cyber DJ style and the mellow'n'sleek lounge DJ set, DJ AKi keeps entrancing the crowd. Recognized as one of the Leading Drum'n'bass DJs from the worlds club scene and is currently recieving much attention for his current activities and future plans.

MC YUUKI

YUUKi MC is a core member of Dub Lab Productions (DLP) alongside with DJ AKi and Techriders. They are recognized as one of the most leading creative teams of the current dance music scene in Japan. DLP produces the globally renowned club in Tokyo, WOMB, and they are also known for running the most popular drum& bass party in Japan - 06S. His DJ style can never be described as one particular style yet he still keeps his soulful / jazzy flavor mixed with uplifting beats. YUUKi produces a drum& bass unit, ES9, alongside with DJ AKi and Takeo, and their releases of "Free Your Mind", "Let it go" & "All about" are being well recognized on dance floors everywhere they go. YUUKi is now focusing on MC-ing as a front man of ES9 as well as an exclusive MC for DJ AKi more than his DJ, and is now well recognized as one of the main MCs of the scene in Japan.

DJ BRKA

DJ Brka is 40 years old with almost 20 years of experience as a DJ. During the 90s he became an associate member of the B92 family, resident of the legendary club "Industrija" where he cooperated with bands such as "Darkwood Dub", "Neočekivana sila koja se iznenada pojavljuje i rešava stvar". DJ Brka's music covers a wide range of music from underground disco sound, through dance rock to the latest house production. In recent years, DJ Brka is developing club night "Disco Not Disco" and also works in Belgrade clubs: Tube, 20/44, KC Grad and Šipražje. Internet magazine Beat'n'Sound named DJ Brka as a best DJ in Serbia for the year of 2009.

NAKED

The band formed during the fall 2005. as a logical continuation of 6 friends who often played together, exploring hidden musical expression and putting them together into a single sound that many agree to be the authentic Naked sound. Symbiosis of hard rhythm, strong themes and unexpected harmonic twists... 2 bass, drums, guitar, harmonica and violin. The band members are: Branislav Trajković, Ivan Mihajlović, Goran Milošević, Nenad Branković, Miloš Punišić & Đorđe Mijušković. During the 3 years period band had over 70 performances around the Serbia and region. The plan is to record a new album in May 2010th which will further promote the Naked sound. JASNA JOVIĆEVIĆ IMPROV KOLEKTIV

Music of the Improv Kolektiv is based on the roots of contemporary music, spiced with improvisation and experimental attitude. Somewhat unusual instrumentation opens more possibilities compared to conventional jazz bands. This conceptual music project selected this year's topic inspired by tragic environmental disaster of Lake Palić, nearly 12 tons of fish perished instantly. The audience will experience multidisciplinary approach to compact art production as well as questions about the environmental problems that are common to everyone. Author of the Improv Kolektiv music is Jasna Jovićević, composer, saxophonist and arranger. Other group members are Bojan Ivković (percussion), Filip Krumes (violin), Vartan Baronijan (cello), Milan Pavković (bass), Boris Brezovac (viola) and electronic musician from Edinburgh - Ziggy Campbell.

TIJANA T

Tijana T lives in Belgrade. She is locally and internationally known as a TV presenter, DJ, singer and longtime spokesman for the EXIT Festival. With exactly 10 years of experience in the music industry, Tijana started her TV career at the legendary Studio B in Belgrade as a host of music shows, but soon was promoted and became a respected journalist and producer of her own shows. Apart from being recognized as a journalist by many international stars and music producers, Tijana pursues her parallel music career and is one of the very few performers from Serbia with international success. With regular DJ shows Tijana T has built serious reputation. Her charismatic appearance & excellent choice of music earned the attention and adoration of the audience and promoters. She uses her rich musical experiences in her exciting DJ sets, which take her throughout the World.

BRAĆA BURAZERI

These guys are creative, talented, skilled and fearless. They love to experiment. Full of understanding even for unreasonable demands. Even though they not look alike, they are real brothers - Nikola & Nenad Radojčić "Braća Burazeri". These two guys belong to the generation that experienced some troubled times, but nevertheless whatever these brothers create happens to be so wonderful, exciting and different. For ten years now they create t-shirts, logos, billboards, posters, leaflets, covers, cartoons, videos, animations & graffiti that keep reminding us what makes a great design.

DJ PEPPE

DJ Peppe is certainly one of the most famous names on the local DJ scene and one of the biggest promoters of the local funk and related musical genres. He got addicted to dance music during the 80s, while very young. The beggining of the 90s brings first proffesional engagement such as one in club "Bunker", "Omen" and legendary "Soul Food", few radio shows as well "Jungle Fever" and "Harlem Renaissance" on the former YU Radio. From this point DJ Peppe's career continued upward. Very soon he played at nearly all prestigious Belgrade clubs - Akademija, Omen, Bitef, Soul Food... Today, DJ Peppe is a name widely recognized throughout Belgrade. He remains one of very few Belgrade DJs capable of adjusting to audience and creating parties to remember.

ALEX MONSTER

Alex Monster aka Alexandra Zahn, apart from pushy nasty look rhythm, also emphasises more agressive industrial sounds. Born in 1984, she showed interest for music and computers in early childhood. After finishing piano in Primary music school, she played drums and bass guitar in punk band. In 2000. she became techno lover and 2004 started with practicing on decks and CDJs. Her favourite genre is German underground minimal, new wave, synth pop, punk and she wants to stay underground artist! She worked with the most popular Serbian Producers (Fakir Noise Destruction,Boza Podunavac, Marko Nastić, Marko Vukovic, Vladimir Aćić, Daniel Alexandar... She's been officially recognized as "Exit 2007 Breakthrough artist". In 2008. she joined FEMALE:PRESSURE organization.

VLADIMIR ERDBER

Vladimir Erdber was born in 1981. in the ex-Yugoslavia. His first contact with electronic music happened in the mid-90s. Occupied by these new musical information, seeking for more excitement out of music, Vladimir stumbled upon well-known Detroit techno and European electro sound, trying to integrate them into one sound. Finally, in 2001. he succeeded in his attempt when he decided to try and start a DJ career. By playing a bit harder electro-techno sound he completely changed his music direction in 2004. That was the year when he started exploration into minimal sound combining them with highly energetic electro and techno synth. His music choice is characterized as a mixture of low frequencies with partially modified notes with clear bass line & euphoric drum sections which will definitely make you move your body on the dance floor. He is currently occupied by a MINITONETOYS project.

DJ EWOX

Uroš Radenković a.k.a. Ewox, was born 1984. in Belgrade. During the 2001. he joined the organization Electric Factory, where he started his career through the Electric Factory radio show. What prevails in his set is strong underground sound, fusion of tech house, minimal house, deep and new disco. Since 2002. to this day, Ewox performed in numerous Belgrade and European clubs: Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Marseille, Budapest, Bergen, Sophia, Zagreb, Rijeka, Split... He backed world renowned artists such as Karim Rashid, Johnny Rackowitch, Dorijan Kolundžija and many more.

DJurDJa

Đurđa Timotijević was born in 1984, Belgrade. As a final year student of Psychology she started playing music unintentionally during the summer 2009, encouraged by her friend from the Ship 20/44. Briefly after the first set, the talent that was hidden within her suddenly became visible. Parties named "NJIHANJE" (swinging) became regular in the repertoire. Her music choice is dominated by funk, soul and jazz. Music for swinging!

FELONY FLATS

Despite his young age (20) Felony Flats has travelled all the genres from black metal to new rave and beyond. What makes his sets work so well is this very open mindedness. He’s not about to ignore a tune just because it sold a few million copies, and when he drops that half remembered hit from MTV at peak time on a packed dancefloor like a bomb you may suddenly realise why it did. Hip hop is basically at the heart of his approach. Despite the fact that he’s generally into a new sound every few months or so, somehow he always ends up sounding like himself, and this is a very good and rare thing. Basically, he’s one of those DJs whose sets don’t scream “you must listen hard and think about what I’m playing”. He focuses on keeping you dancing. But if you do stop dancing for a second, you’d find there’s plenty to think on indeed. 

VESELE VECE

The "Vesele vece" play is a story about jolly witches that arrive at the planet Earth, because they heard that the planet is sick, polluted and their mission is to cure it together with the help from children. Their mission is to teach people how to protect the Earth in order to live healthy surrounded by their natural beauty. The play is supported by original songs with lyrics intended to educate kids on the importance of natural environment protection. Besides the whole theatrical event kids will get the chance to learn how to deal with nature, how to protect it, how to use it and how important it is in general. Script - T. EKO-MUSKETARI

Eko-musketari/Eco-musketeers were founded some ten years ago, in the beginning as a class where experiments in biology/ecology were conducted. Over the time, these classes produced a group of students who took over the whole initiative, together with their teacher Marina Drndarski, and began to engage in all activities related to environment and sustainable development in the municipality or city. These activities included spring cleanup of Hilandarska street, riverbanks of Sava and Danube, cleaning of Lipovica forest from gypsy moth and many more. Eco-musketeers attended every international holiday related to nature conservation, biodiversity, environment, drinking water etc. This year, they are participating in a totally new project – how to raise public awareness on biodiversity. Eco-musketeers chose the topic of biodiversity inspired by the UN declaration on 2010 as a year of biodiversity. Eco-musketeers have the intention to establish a international Day of green habits.

CHILDREN CHOIR "ČAROLIJA"

Children choir "Čarolija" is conducted by Leontina Pat who is founder of the choir, as well. Children choir started in 2005. and today it is consisted of nearly 250 kids in Belgrade, 100 kids in Požarevac and Smederevo, which makes it unique children ensemble in the entire Balkans. Besides the festival of the same name - "Čarolija", children choir performs at numerous social, humanitarian and commercial events. During the 2009. they published CD "Greatest hits of the Children Choir Čarolija" produced by City Records. Their song "Pupils ask - Slow down next to the school", became a part of first Belgrade, then national strategy for child protection in traffic. This earned them the award for best non-profit campaign by "Noć Reklamoždera" event.

MINJA SUBOTA

He was born in Sarajevo, November 8th, 1938. Minja Subota is a member of the Association of Composers of Serbia, Association of Jazz Musicians, Pop & Rock Music of Serbia and the USUF of Serbia. He is best known as composer, musician, show host, photographer and icon of the SFRY generations. Most of his artistic career & creative work is dedicated to the children. Minja Subota is author and host of "Muzički Tobogan" show, which broadcasted for full eighteen years. Muzički Tobogan holds records in ratings and popularity regarding the domestic television program. Minja composed songs that have become part of children literature & children music, with generations growing up influenced by them. As a long time friend of Supernatural Festival, Minja Subota will support the children program of the festival in the 2010.

DOBRICA ERIĆ

Dobrica Erić is a Serbian writer with rich literary background. His style can be defined as an authentic expression of life in Šumadija region, and Serbia in general. He is a poet, prose and drama writer, depictor of nature, rural life, childhood and love. Author of several novels, twenty three lyric books, five dramas and over fourty books for children. His songs entered school books, anthologies, and many of them became songs with the help of prominent Serbian composers. He lives and works in Belgrade and Gruža. Known for his poems and prose dedicated to children, Dobrica Erić will be one of the hosts of children program during the Supernatural Festival 2010.

LELA STOJANOVIĆ

Lela Stojanović is from Niška Banja, she's a poet, writer and screenwriter. She writes for kids and adults, as well. Her poems took her around many children festivals, with many poems published through poem collections. She published the following books of poems for children: "Green Cloud", "The most beautiful smile" and the latest book of environmental poetry titled "Oasis of happiness". Book "Oasis of Happiness" and her poems such as "Recycling", "Sick planet", "Ozone layer" and other, Lela Stojanovic welcomes you to the Supernatural Festival, and calls us all to love and cherish our living environment and the entire planet.
